APPEAL NOT TO BE TAKEN FURTHER
Wind Prospect has taken the decision not to pursue the Stoneyard Lane Wind Farm project. This decision has been made after careful consideration of the inspector's decision notice.
APPEAL DISMISSED
The Secretary of State has dismissed the appeal of the Stoneyard Lane Wind Farm - refusing to grant planning permission. Wind Prospect is deeply disappointed with this decision and will review the decision notice in detail before making any decision on how to proceed. The decision notice can be viewed here, by searching for the appeal reference 'APP/P0119/A/11/2154175'. When a decision has been made it will be announced publically.
PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED
The public hearing into the refusal of the Stoneyard Lane Wind Farm was completed last week. Members of the public were present, and were able to put questions to the representative from the Secretary of State, who will now make an informed decision balancing the need for the development against the potential impacts identified. Unfortunately there is no time scale for the decision, but we will make sure the decision is publicised once known.

Wind Prospect would like to clarify its position relating to the proposed route that would connect Stoneyard Lane wind farm to the Grid, should the project get permission to go ahead, following a press article published on November 3 which contained some misleading information. APPEAL NOW TO TAKE PLACE BY A PUBLIC HEARING
the Planning Inspectorate has now decided that the appeal process will be via a two day public hearing on the 16th and 17th of November 2011. The appeal will take place at the Thornbury Town Council Offices.

Wind Prospect Developments Ltd is proposing to develop a wind farm near Oldbury on Severn, South Gloucestershire, called Stoneyard Lane Wind Farm.
